Richard Petty was recently appointed the first ever honorary board member of Quail Unlimited. Petty, an avid outdoor enthusiast and promoter of youth engagement with the outdoors, is a record-holding NASCAR driver and a member of the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
“I’ve had a lot of wins in my lifetime and not all of them have been on the track,” Petty said. “Some of my biggest wins have been through the support of my favorite charities – Victory Junction and the Wounded Warrior Project. But, by serving as an honorary member of the QU board, I now have another way of encouraging our youth to play an important role in wildlife conservation, while rediscovering the great outdoors.”
