Safari Club International will support U.S. shooting team members Kim Rhode and Corey Cogdell during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, England. The two women will serve as international ambassadors representing SCI throughout their Olympic performances and in other competitions.
Rhode is a life member of SCI and has medaled in each of the last four Olympics Games. She will compete in both international skeet and bunker trap events in 2012.
Cogdell is the only U.S. woman to ever medal in Women’s International Trap. She earned her a spot on the U.S. Olympic team through the Olympic selection matches in 2007 and 2008. In August 2008, Cogdell won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
The 2012 Summer Olympics will begin on July 26. The shooting sport competition will be held at the Royal Artillery Barracks beginning July 28.
