Zaiglin recognized for career achievement in whitetail management

Bob Zaiglin, department chair of the wildlife management program at Southwest Texas Junior College, was awarded the prestigious Deer Management Career Achievement Award at the 35th Annual Southeast Deer Group Meeting in Sandestin, Florida on Feb. 28, 2012. Zaiglin was recognized for his outstanding contributions to the understanding of whitetail deer ecology and management in the southeastern United States.   
The award is given for activities conducted within the member states of the southeast section of The Wildlife Society as well as Missouri, Texas, Delaware, Maryland and West Virginia.
Zaiglin was also awarded the 2011 Outstanding Achievement Award by The Texas Chapter of The Wildlife Society in February 2011. He is a certified wildlife biologist and serves as the southern field editor for Deer & Deer Hunting, the senior field editor for Texas Trophy Hunters and the whitetail deer editor for Texas Outdoor Journal.
