Winchester Ammunition donates to NRA youth program

Winchester Ammunition made a donation to the National Rifle Association’s Youth Education Summit — a seven-day educational experience for high school students in Washington, DC.
Y.E.S. teaches students about the significance of the American Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the importance of being an active citizen. The young scholars will also visit historic locations around the nation’s capital and make a trip to the NRA Headquarters Range. Winchester’s donation of ammunition will allow students to participate in a safe, supervised firearm training exercise while at the range.
“Winchester is honored to support the NRA Youth Education Summit,” said Brett Flaugher, Winchester Ammunition’s vice president of sales and marketing. “This is a proven program that affords tremendous opportunities for youth across the United States. It’s wonderful that they also have a chance to learn and experience the shooting sports.”
The 2012 Y.E.S. began on June 25 and will end July1. For more information, visit http://www.friendsofnra.org/yes
