Ohioans asked to help identify potential wild animal abuse

Ohio Department of Natural Resources announced a new toll-free hotline and companion website for Ohioans to report suspected instances of neglect or abuse of dangerous wild animals. The hotline and website are products of Gov. John R. Kasich’s executive order to better use existing laws and resources while new laws and regulations are being developed to protect public health and animal welfare. The hotline can be reached at 855-DWA-OHIO (855-392-6446), and the website is www.dangerouswildanimals.ohio.gov.
