NLCS 15-Year Strategy kickoff event Nov. 1

The Bureau of Land Management is pleased to present the National Landscape Conservation System 15-Year Strategy. The NLCS, created in 2000 and granted legal permanence in 2009, is mandated by Congress to conserve, protect, and restore the BLM’s nationally significant resources for current and future generations. There will be a Strategy Kickoff Event on Nov. 1, in their D.C. office and if you can’t attend, it will be live streamed via the Internet. The BLM will give a short presentation about the Strategy, and staff will be on hand to answer questions. There will be two sessions: 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. Please RSVP online here: http://bit.ly/NLCS_RSVP, and the full 15-Year Strategy can be found online here: http://on.doi.gov/pttikY.
