Bushnell Outdoor Products and the University of California Davis recognized Justin Knight as the inaugural Bushnell Bill McRae Lifetime Achievement Scholarship recipient. Knight is a senior in the UC Davis optical science and engineering program.

The Bushnell Bill McRae Lifetime Achievement Scholarship is a $7,500 annual award available to students in the UC Davis optical science and engineering program. Named for a well-known figure in the optics industry and mentor to many journalists and others in the outdoor industry, the award was established in 2011. It is available to undergraduate and graduate students.
