Save Bristol Bay Road Show

Alaska Natives, commercial fishermen, sportsmen and seafood processors are heading south to the lower 48 on the Save Bristol Bay Road Show to raise awareness and build support for protecting Bristol Bay, Alaska, which is threatened by the proposed Pebble Mine. Bristol Bay is home to the world’s largest sockeye salmon fishery and the proposed mine could damage the area resulting in the loss of salmon and in turn the loss of jobs and a local and Native way of life. The road show begins on Oct. 17, and will travel from major cities across the U.S. starting in Seattle, Wash., and ending in New York City, N.Y. Join the roadshow for food, drinks and a screening of the documentary “Red Gold” as you learn about the fight to preserve Bristol Bay.
