Industrial photography is a challenging area of photography, especially when it comes to specialized optical assemblies for military, aerospace, analytical instrumentation manufactured by FTRX LLC, the research arm of PLX Inc., an internationally-known developer and manufacturer.
FTRX LLC hired Full Spectrum Media founder Joel Lucks, who has specialized in the outdoor industry as a writer and photographer for more than 20 years, to execute all the photography that will be utilized across FTRX’s branding materials, website, trade show and brochures.
The challenges of scaled-down objects, mirrors, reflective light and attention to every detail is paramount in launching new products for PLX, Inc. Their market is the world and the agencies, directors and buyers for these companies are some of the brightest scientists in the industry, and they want detail.
Tackle Box Marketing Communications owner/president Michael Rosen was not only personally was involved in this shoot, but directed it, and completed and executed the launch of a new product to the Spectroscopy market, the FTRX Monolith 20 Spectrometer.
Lucks has had photography published nationally and regionally in many outdoor sports magazines to include most recently Mississippi Land & Lodges Magazine and Outdoors Unlimited. His images have also appeared on www.OutdoorLife.com and he is field editor for The Fisherman magazine. His creative nature, eye for catching the right light and for showcasing client’s products in the best way possible is now being recognized in commercial and industrial venues.
