Timberland opening new Minneapolis location and hosting hockey kick-off

Timberland announced the opening of a new Minneapolis location in Calhoun Square set for Nov. 18, one week prior to Black Friday. Timberland, a company that originated in the 1950s from New England, is now an international outdoors retail store known for their footwear and apparel. In step with Timberland stores around the world, the store is designed to reflect the company’s long-standing commitment to sustainability by being built with reclaimed wood, recycled stoneware floor tiles, organic paint and energy conserving fixtures. Timberland will be hosting a boot hockey game in early December in Minneapolis to celebrate the store and kick off the 2012 U.S. Pond Hockey Championships.
