Sportsman Channel racks up multiple nominations in television awards

New Berlin, WI (May 21, 2013) – Sportsman Channel, the leader in outdoor TV for the American Sportsman, announced today it has racked up nine total finalist nominations across two prestigious industry awards that recognize excellence in cable television. The network earned six nominations for CableFAX’s CableFAXIES-literally in every category submitted-and three for PromaxBDA. Last year, Sportsman won the prestigious CableFAX Program Award Honor in 2012 for its ground-breaking original series Dropped in the “Best Show or Series: Animal/Nature” category; its fifth win in that awards competition.
“We have devoted extensive resources to every single facet of our business from the all-important programming to advertising to our unique Hunt.Fish.Feed community relations campaign – and clearly the results are showing,” said Gavin Harvey, CEO of Sportsman Channel. “We are increasingly being recognized and honored in industry awards competitions against much larger and well established brands. Sportsman Channel has incredible momentum, and we are dedicated to providing the ultimate Four Season-All Season outdoor TV destination for the millions of men and women who live, love and crave the sportsman lifestyle.”
“Sportsman Channel celebrates American outdoorsmen and women with campaigns like United Sportsman of America, which resonated well with viewers, advertisers and producers,” said Michael Magnotta, SVP/Creative Director. “And programming specials like ‘Zombie Busters’ and ‘Aporkalypse Now’ allow us to deliver branding campaigns that present a fresh and unique perspective in the outdoor category, positioning the network for even greater growth.”
