Washington, D.C. –Safari Club International’s Board of Directors elected the organization’s Officers and Executive Committee during their meeting here May 11. The 12-member Executive Committee, comprised of volunteers within the organization, will work with SCI’s Chief Executive Officer Phil DeLone.
“The volunteers of Safari Club International have always been the organization’s leaders,” said CEO Phil DeLone. “Working with each of the 12 members of the Executive Committee during 2013 and 2014, we will be able to take aggressive steps to increase the fundraising for mission programs at SCI’s Annual Hunters’ Convention.”

The SCI Executive Committee provides leadership, policy guidance and management direction to SCI’s CEO. The Corporate Officers and Vice-Presidents direct the financial planning and mission programs for all 50,000 members of Safari Club International worldwide.

Safari Club expects upwards of 20,000 international hunters to descend on Las Vegas, Nevada February 5-8, 2014. The SCI Hunters’ Convention represents the largest and most successful event to raise money for advocacy to protect hunters’ rights. The 2014 Hunters Convention will be the largest in the organization’s history, with nearly a million sq. ft of exhibits and 2,500 vendors.
