The National Shooting Sports Foundation is now accepting proposals from state and regional wildlife agencies for Hunting Heritage Partnership grants. All proposals for consideration are due by Feb. 1, 2012, and project proposals must be scheduled to begin by March 1, 2012. The grants are to help agencies fund projects that create new and expanded opportunities for hunting. Since NSSF started the HHP grant program in 2003, they have awarded 109 grants to 38 state agencies. For the 2012-2013 grant period, $500,000 will be available to agencies for qualifying projects.
