NEWTOWN, Conn. – The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the firearms industry trade association, is pleased to announce that A.N. Deringer has agreed to renew its sponsorship of the 2016 Import/Export Conference at the Bronze level. A.N. Deringer is a leading expert in logistics, providing customs brokerage, freight forwarding, warehousing and distributions services, among others.
Taking place August 1-3 in Washington, D.C., the NSSF and FAIR Trade Group Import/Export Conference gathers industry professionals to discuss the many compliance issues facing today’s U.S. firearms and accessory makers negotiating the complexities involved in doing business with other countries.
“We are very pleased to have Deringer join us again to sponsor this increasingly important conference,” said Melissa Schilling, NSSF Director, Exhibitions and Conferences. “We had a tremendous amount of positive feedback regarding their participation last year, and that says they’ve professional resource our industry members look forward to working with.”
“Deringer is very excited to continue supporting the NSSF Import/Export Conference, said Donna Kavanaugh, Deringer’s Logistics Regulatory Specialist. “Each year, the NSSF does a great job organizing this event and soliciting speakers from various government agencies to speak about key topics critical to changes in the firearms industry. This is an excellent opportunity for government and industry to collaborate and listen to one another first-hand about why these changes are being made and how it will impact all parties involved.
A joint presentation of NSSF and the FAIR Trade Group, the 2016 Import/Export Conference is the firearms industry’s premier educational event for manufacturers and others in the supply chain doing business internationally or considering such expansion. Registration, hotel information and the conference agenda are expected to be available in April.
