As a member of North America’s premier outdoor communicator’s organization, we have the unique ability to reach out to sportsmen and women and monitor the pulse of outdoor issues that concern our hunting and angling heritage.
With that in mind, I invite you to attend the ten year anniversary Rendezvous of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, “the sportsmen’s voice for our wild public lands, waters and wildlife.”
Backcountry Hunters & Anglers (BHA) is dedicated to protecting public land and water and keeping our nonmotorized hunting and angling traditions alive in an increasingly motorized society. We believe that North America’s public lands provide the challenge and solitude that make our time in the field so special. To ensure that tradition, we work to conserve backcountry, healthy watersheds and wilderness, manage off-highway vehicles to protect habitat from abuse and promote fair chase practices that reflect respect for all wildlife. With members in 48 states and chapters in 15 states and British Columbia, BHA is growing rapidly.
Born around an Oregon campfire ten years ago, BHA members know that adventure begins where the road ends. We revel in working hard to get to our favorite camp site, our secret hunting spot or the sweetest bit of wild water imaginable. And we are passionate about passing this great outdoor heritage onto our kids and grandkids. To achieve that, we educate decision makers at all levels to be sure our priceless public lands, waters and wildlife are not threatened nor diminished.
This year’s Rendezvous will be in Denver March 21-23 and we welcome outdoor communicators to attend. You can easily register online or by phone at 406-370-4325. You can also find out more about BHA and the Rendezvous by visiting our Facebook page where you will find BHA’s position on different issues, engaging videos from our outdoor education series and dialogue between passionate hunters and anglers.
