OWAA conferences and events include: 

 

    • An annual, in-person conference (between May-September but historically in the June/July time frame)

    • A series of ‘WOW’ (Women Outdoor Writers) virtual gatherings 

    • As needs dictate and as we’re able, there are occasional virtual conferences and webinars (although these have been postponed currently)

Non-members that attend OWAA conferences and events and then decide to join OWAA later can have the registration fee for the event attended subtracted from the price of their annual dues.

Annual Conference 2025

Join us to connect, mingle with and learn from 250 outdoor storytellers (and the brands that support their work). Network with other professionals, hone communications opportunities, find a mentor/mentee and discover more and better ways to sell your work (or promote your brand).

You’ll meet with some of the best outdoor communicators in the country, all there to absorb presentations on writing and editing, photography and videography, broadcast and digital media, the latest tech and newest tactics, and more (including a full editor's panel). Connections will be forged during a speed-dating marketplace event. Attending media will take advantage of dynamic pre- and post-tours to get the latest stories on outdoor adventures around the region.

Meanwhile, brands, organizations and tourism boards will have ample opportunities to connect and network with them all. It’s an event not to be missed!

Exhibits are assigned on a first-come, first served basis and are subject to change. After your payment has been received, you'll receive a confirmation with a map of the display area including your assigned table location. Setup begins early on Day One. Located near registration, the exhibits are set up for the duration of the conference. Also includes an exhibit during the Breakout Day.

We now include liability insurance which meets all of our insurance requirements - all built into your booth space fee. You will no longer need to go through all the hassles and costs of submitting your own compliant insurance. We hope you appreciate this new benefit.

Rainprotection is our insurance partner, and we are happy to provide exhibitors this no-fuss insurance plan that covers all our exhibiting partners. Every booth purchase automatically includes a fully approved insurance certificate.
