Delta Waterfowl recently announced the hiring of J.D. “Pepper” Petersen as vice president of development. He will serve as the foundation’s chief fundraiser, with a focus on major donations and planned gifts.
Petersen, of Helena, Mont., comes to the position with more than a decade of professional fundraising experience in a variety of conservation and political organizations, including the National Rifle Association, Prickly Pear Land Trust, The Montana Conservation Voters and Project Vote Smart. Prior to joining Delta, he owned ColdWater Public Relations, a Montana-based public relations firm.
A passionate outdoorsman, he holds a master’s degree in nonprofit management and a bachelor’s degree in political science.
