Update: Six board candidates vie for three seats

Last month, OWAA headquarters notified members of five candidates who will compete for three seats on OWAA’s board of directors. Since publication, three on the Board Nominating Committee’s slate withdrew their names from consideration, leaving Mark Freeman and Gary Graham as candidates.
The lack of sufficient nominees for the May board of directors’ election kicked in a secondary nominating process outlined in OWAA bylaws 7.2, which permits Active members in good standing to nominate candidates for the board.
OWAA headquarters has received 20 or more signatures from Active members nominating the following for the board: Jason Jenkins, Brett Prettyman, Paul Queneau and Jeff Williams.
All six candidates will submit profiles and respond to questions that will be published in the March issue of Outdoors Unlimited, and ballots will be mailed in April to all Active, Senior-Active and Life members.
The board election is slated for May 7. Three elected candidates will begin serving three-year terms on the board on June 13. ◊
