The Wyoming Tribune Eagle in Cheyenne seeks freelance writers who can produce feature articles for our weekly outdoors page. We’re interested in any and all topics would be relevant to the outdoorsmen and outdoorswomen of Wyoming: elk hunting, trout fishing, skiing, rock climbing, hiking, camping, environmental issues, migration, gear reviews, great places to visit — whatever else you find. We’re especially interested in writers who can contribute an article every four to six weeks, but writers with a single story idea to pitch are also welcome to get in touch. Preferred candidates will reside in Wyoming or northern Colorado. Pay range is $55-$110 per article, depending on length, with nominal pay for published photos. Send three writing samples and a cover letter to Jodi Rogstad, features editor, firstname.lastname@example.org.
