Seeking experienced freelancers across the country to pitch/write stories of interest to woodland owners for a nonprofit forest conservation group’s publications. Story needs range from profiles, to interviews, to features on various topics (recreation, hunting, fishing, wildlife, forest management, history, etc.) to how-to’s, along with shorter departments and news items. All pieces should have some connection to the interests and needs of those who own, care about and/or manage woodlands, i.e., private family forest owners (not public or corporate forests). For more information about the audience and parent organization, visit www.forestfoundation.org. Pay varies.
