The Digital Content Manager is responsible for developing, managing and maintaining content for the primary digital marketing platforms of RMEF, including websites and social media. They have a strong user understanding and demonstrated expertise in digital content usability, architecture, development and design. This role assists with and manages the development and implementation of the RMEF’s digital media marketing strategies.
Assist with managing, planning and execution of all web, email, social media and digital platform marketing campaigns and related content.
Information gathering and analysis to report on digital content statistics, effectiveness of different channels and overall performance of RMEF digital content and channels.
Work with internal and external content managers, editors, designers, developers, and others to ensure RMEF digital channels are effective and align with the RMEF brand strategy and meet RMEF standards.
Write or edit effective copy in different styles for websites and social media channels for Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Successfully employ SEO best practices to drive traffic to content. Possess and employ knowledge of effective user experience in interactive products.
Copyedit digital content to ensure accuracy, consistency and user friendly consumption. Ensure content reflects the tone, style and branding message of RMEF; ensure branding and tone are consistent across multiple media platforms.
Participate in the development and distribution of video content for use on all RMEF digital channels. Work with all departments to generate effective and relevant content representative of RMEF, our mission and brand.
Build, organize and maintain video content library. Produce video shorts and similar content for RMEF digital channels.
Responsible for fulfilling in-house digital content requests for specific projects. Manage external digital content relationships. Seek out new and creative sources of digital content.
Manage specific digital marketing programs and projects with a hands-on involvement in a variety of marketing logistics as directed.
Assist in the management of Social Media programs. Work with various departments in the development and distribution of content.
Assist in the management of content on RMEF websites, including RMEF Media. Work to ensure relevant content is maintained and updated on regularly.
Work closely with the VP of Marketing and other department staff as directed by VP to ensure department support is provided when necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
BS in Marketing, Public Relations, Graphic Design or related field preferred. Some college in Business Administration, Marketing, or Graphic Design is required or a combination of education and six years of experience in a business environments.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge and support of the RMEF’s mission, goals, and activities.
Proven work experience in Digital Marketing.
Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut). Excellent customer service skills including being proactive, demonstrating solid follow-through and attention to detail, and demonstrating the flexibility to make adjustments when requested.
Must have the ability to work in and foster a team-oriented environment including proactively helping department staff.
Must be proficient in the use of office computer programs including Microsoft Office. Must be proficient with utilizing the web and have the ability to work in databases.
Must be able to present self in professional manner and effectively communicate to and develop a relationship with a wide range of individuals including staff, corporate partners, volunteers, members, and other RMEF customers.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to create correspondence with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints, working at a fast pace and remaining accurate. Ability to be flexible with changing priorities.
The employee must sit or stand for long periods of time, use a computer terminal and telephone, reach forward and to the side; bend from both standing and sitting position and lift items weighing various pounds, including some heavy lifting. Some travel may be required. Work will occasionally require more than the standard number of hours per week to perform essential duties of the position and require occasional irregular hours both during the week and on weekends.
