Public Affairs Specialist
N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission, Raleigh, NC
Responsible for communications that: increase awareness of and generate support for the agency and for fish and wildlife conservation in North Carolina; broaden awareness of the agency’s policies, science-based programs and collaborative partnerships; and increase the visibility of its programs across key stakeholder audiences.
Duties include coordination, development and implementation of communications, including public affairs work with the media; state and federal agencies; non-profits and other stakeholders; and the NC General Assembly. The position is the primary media contact representing Wildlife Management/game sections, Law Enforcement, and Engineering & Lands Management divisions of the agency.
