NSAA Journal

The NSAA Journal, a bimonthly business trade magazine of the National Ski Areas Association, seeks freelance writer. NSAA (www.nsaa.org) is a nonprofit trade association of more than 300 ski area owners and operators and nationwide. Several hundred ski industry supplier companies also belong to the association. Editorial topics of interest include unique marketing strategies, environmental stewardship and safety education programs. Queries are welcome, but keep in mind, NSAA is a national publication, so they want a round-up of resort news related to one of the topics above, from a variety of ski areas, large and small, from the East to the West. Research skills required. The right candidate can expect one or two story assignments per year. Most stories range from 800-2000 words. Rates range from $200 to $400. Sample issues and writer’s guidelines of the NSAA Journal are available upon request. Contact Editor Troy Hawks, NSAA Journal, 133 S. Van Gordon St. #300, Lakewood, CO 80228; thawks@nsaa.org.
