American Bird Conservancy is seeking a talented, experienced, motivated writer-editor to assist with the organization’s outreach and communications efforts in its office in Washington, D.C. The writer-editor will be ABC’s primary feature story writer and editor for its flagship publication, Bird Conservation magazine, and will also write and edit a broad selection of other materials, including Web copy, fundraising solicitations, newsletter articles and e-communications. The writer-editor will work to raise awareness of organizational priorities, achievements and needs. The successful applicant will be able to articulate sometimes complex conservation and scientific principles relating to bird conservation in a clear, compelling, accurate manner for a broad cross section of audiences, including conservation professionals, ABC members, and members of the public.
