JOB: Communications manager

The Pennsylvania Newspaper Association, a nonprofit trade association devoted to protecting freedom of the press and promoting the business interests and professional development of its newspaper members, is seeking a highly organized, creative and proactive professional with strong project management, writing, editing, website management and public relations skills for the position of communications manager. The ideal candidate will have a combination of strong writing and editing skills with knowledge of AP style, branding experience, and social networking knowledge and experience. A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or a related field is required. Newspaper editorial experience is beneficial. InDesign knowledge and some public relations and/or marketing communications experience required. Website production, design and management experience preferred.
