FLW Outdoors, the largest tournament organization in the world, is seeking an associate editor for its two periodical magazines, FLW Outdoors and Walleye. The associate editor serves as a staff writer and editor in charge of the digital editions of FLW Outdoors and Walleye, FLW Outdoors On Tour (single issue) and FLW Tour Event Guides (seven per year). The position is at FLW Outdoors Operations headquarters in Benton, Ky., a few miles from Kentucky Lake. A thorough understanding of journalistic principles, new media and digital communications, and the ability to develop content that is timely and relevant to fishing enthusiasts are essential. A bachelor’s degree in journalism, multimedia design, new media or a related field is required. Two or more years of experience as an editor and a passion for fishing are also necessary. A thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required, and the ideal candidate will also be familiar with various video and graphic design programs such as Flash.
