JOIN US FOR OWAA EVENTS

OWAA conferences and events include: 

    • An annual, in-person conference (generally in August)

    • A series of affinity group virtual gatherings:
      • Emeritus Outdoor Writers – Monthly on the first Friday @ 1PM ET
      • Women Outdoor Writers – Monthly on the second Friday @ 1PM ET 
      • Hunting Outdoor Writers – Monthly on the fourth Friday @ 1PM ET 

    • As needs dictate and as we’re able, there are occasional virtual webinars 

Non-members that attend OWAA conferences and events and then decide to join OWAA later can have the registration fee for the event attended subtracted from the price of their annual dues.

OWAA 2025 - Virtual Membership Meeting

6/11/2025 from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM ET

Join OWAA's Board of Directors, staff and members for our annual, virtual membership meeting on June 11th @ 8:00 PM ET! We'll use this time to bring to you committee reports, a financial overview and other pertinent information for all engaged members. 

Google Meet link and dial-in information will be:  

  • Shared with all members via the prior Wednesday's eNews email
  • Posted on the Members Only Facebook group on Wednesday
  • Emailed to those that registered 30 minutes before the presentation starts 

Membership Meeting Agenda:

  1. Call to Order (President)
  2. Determine quorum (25 active or life members required)
  3. Correct and approve minutes of prior membership meeting
  4. Reports from Officers (President, 1st VP, 2nd VP, Treasurer, and ED, if desired)
  5. Summary of actions of the board since the last membership meeting, and motion to approve those actions (President) 
  6. Reading of names of members who have passed away within last year and moment of silence
  7. Old business
  8. New business
  9. Comments for the good of the order
  10. Adjournment (President)
