JOIN US FOR OWAA EVENTS

OWAA conferences and events include: 

  • An annual, in-person conference (generally in the June/July time frame)
  • A series of webinars throughout the year on the second Wednesday of the month at 7 P.M. Eastern (followed by a casual social hour for those that would like to stay on to chat and network)
  • A series of ‘WOW’ (Women Outdoor Writers) virtual gatherings on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:30 P.M. Eastern
  • As needs dictate, there are occasional virtual conferences as well

Non-members that attend OWAA conferences and events and then decide to join OWAA later can have the registration fee for the event attended subtracted from the price of their annual dues.

WOW (Women Outdoor Writers) Virtual Gathering
Every First Tuesday of the Month @ 8PM ET!

It's our monthly gathering for OWAA women (and those that identify as such). This is when female writers, photographers, podcasters, or other outdoor media (and of course those that work at our Supporting Groups) come together to connect, share, support and, perhaps, sometimes commiserate. There's no fixed agenda and no specific leader (yet) so the conversations are free-form, open and flexible. People have been known to come with a glass of wine in hand, if they so choose.

To get the link for the recurring meeting (it's the same link each time):

  • Email or text the staff (info@owaa.org) to get the next one
  • Find it on the OWAA Members Only FB Group (we'll post it there each morning of)
  • Ask Chez to send you a Google calendar invite with the link embedded in the invite
