ENTER THE CONSERVATION HAWKS WRITING CONTEST TAKE A SHOT AT A NEW ORVIS H2 FLY ROD!
If you’re a writer, Conservation Hawks wants you to address climate change.  Given that our changing climate is the biggest threat to our hunting & fishing, you shouldn’t need an extra incentive – but we’re going to offer you one anyway.
If you publish a story about the impacts of climate change on America’s hunters and/or anglers between September 15, 2013, and March 31, 2014, please send it to us.  If we feel it’s well-written and persuasive, we’ll share it on our website and Facebook page.  Then at the end of the year, we’ll pick our favorite climate story and the winner will receive a gorgeous, top-of-the-line Orvis H2 fly rod.  (Retail price $795 – $850.) The runner-up will win a Sitka Jetstream jacket.  (Retail price $329.)
What are we looking for?  Honesty.  Accuracy.  Passion. Great writing.  If you can explain to your readers why it’s vital for sportsmen to speak up about climate change, you’ll be in the running for a brand new Orvis rod or Sitka jacket.  Both print and web stories are welcome.
There are no limitations on the number of stories you can submit.   Depending on the number of entries, we may decide to add additional prizes.
To enter, please e-mail your published stories to: Info@ConservationHawks.org by March 31, 2014.  Make sure to type “CH Writing Contest” in the subject line of your e-mail.
