Long-time member and volunteer Phil Bloom has been named Interim Executive Director of the Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA), North America’s oldest and largest association of professional outdoor communicators, after the resignation of Executive Director Brandon Shuler.

Dr. Emanuel is a professor of atmospheric science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as the co-founder of MIT’s influential Lorenz Center. OWAA is excited to head to Little Rock, Arkansas, for its 92nd annual conference.
