The final deadline for entering OWAA’s annual Excellence In Craft Contest is Friday, Jan. 31.
OWAA members must submit online entries by midnight Friday (Eastern) or have mail-in entries postmarked no later than Jan. 31.
The entry fee is $15 for online submissions, $25 for mail-in entries.
EIC is open to all OWAA members and will reward first-, second- and third-place winners in 10 media categories: Blog, Book, Column, Graphic/Illustration, Magazine/E-zine, Newspaper/News Website, Photography, Photo Essay, Radio/Podcast, and TV/Video/Webcast. (The Book Contest closed Dec. 2.)
Award winners will be announced at the OWAA annual conference June 27-29, 2020, at Jay Peak Resort in Vermont.
Members are required to pay their 2020 dues before submitting entries.
OWAA is partnering with Submittable, a Montana company specializing in contest management, to collect EIC online entries.
To begin submitting entries, go to Submittable to create a FREE Submittable account, which allows you access to EIC entry forms for each contest.
Each contest – Blog, Column, Graphic/Illustration, Magazine/E-zine, Newspaper/News Website, Photography, Photo Essay, Radio/Podcast, and TV/Video/Webcast – has its own entry form.
Mail-in entries must be sent to OWAA EIC Contest, 21565 Nine Mile Road, Huson, MT, 59846.
More judges needed for EIC
A major part of the annual Excellence In Craft Contest is judging the hundreds of submitted entries. Many OWAA members and non-members graciously volunteer their time as judges, but many more are needed to spread the workload and ensure all entries are reviewed fairly.
If you can volunteer a few hours of your time to this important OWAA program, please email email@example.com as soon as possible. Please note what contest you would like to judge. You can judge any contest category you did not enter.
