Saturday, June 2
8:15 – 9 a.m. Keynote #1

10 – 11 a.m.  Spouse/Partner/Family Welcome
Join us in Harrison E for the spouse, partner and family lounge, for snacks and friendship. Even if you are not registered for the conference, we welcome you to this event. Meet new people and become reacquainted with others. Find out what opportunities are available to you throughout the conference. A Visit Fort Wayne representative will be on hand to help you plan additional activities.

2 p.m. Downtown Arts Tour*
Discover some of Fort Wayne’s public sculptures, mural, and art as you walk to the Fort Wayne Museum of Art (311 E Main Street, admission required), and Artlink Contemporary Gallery (300 E Main Street, FREE admission, donations accepted) on Fort Wayne’s main street arts campus. Please note the Fort Wayne Museum of Art closes at 6 p.m. on Saturday, and Artlink closes at 7 p.m.

7 – 8:30 p.m. Indiana Summer Barbecue Welcome Dinner
Cost: free for registered conference attendees, ala carte tickets available
Celebrate the start of the OWAA Conference with a summer barbecue including lawn games and a s’mores station all inside the lush oasis of Fort Wayne’s downtown Botanical Conservatory. With over 1,200 plants and 72 different type of cacti, it’ll be a breath-taking backdrop to this fun, Indiana Summer Welcome Dinner. Wine, craft beer, and mouth-watering, Fort Wayne-famous barbecue will be served, in addition to some other delicious favorites. Round up your appetite for fun while reconnecting with OWAA Members!

Sunday, June 3
6 a.m.  Roll n Run
All attendees are invited to run Sunday morning with other fast feet rather than run solo in a new city. This is a no-fuss, out and back run with start and finish in the hotel lobby. Run a 5k or a 10k.

2 p.m. & 4 p.m. Nature Walk and Beekeeping Demonstration at Southwest Conservation Club (Breakout Day)
The trail at the Southwest Conservation Club is a peaceful walk filled with the simple beauty of the nature that surrounds you including a native prairie grass restoration area and nature plant garden.

6 – 8:30 p.m. EIC Awards Party at Parkview Field
Cost: free for all registered conference attendees, ala carte tickets available
Celebrate our members’ best work from the past year at this fun and entertaining show. After enjoying an audio-video presentation on the jumbo-tron of the award-winners’ work, we’ll open the batting cages and climbing wall and have fun at the ballpark!

Monday, June 4
8 – 8:45 a.m. Keynote #2

9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Genealogy Center, Family History Research*
Walk over to the Genealogy Center for a morning of research. Bring along any of your family history information, and trained Genealogists will be onsite at the Genealogy Center to help you get started researching or help you uncover more about your family history. Or, wander over to the Genealogy Center with your family history information whenever you have available time.  The Genealogy Center is the largest public genealogy center in the United States, and is free to all visitors! Start your family history search or let the onsite genealogist help you uncover more about your family history.

2 – 4 p.m. Self-Guided Tour of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception*
Discover Fort Wayne’s primary cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese known for its gothic architecture. Built in 1859, the Cathedral features exceptional woodcarvings and stained glass.

7 – 9 p.m. Honorary Awards Banquet
Cost: free for all registered conference attendees, ala carte tickets available
This special event and formal dinner recognizes members for their professional achievements and exceptional commitment to OWAA. These awards announced represent the highest honors of OWAA: the J. Hammond Brown Award for devoted service to OWAA; the Excellence in Craft Award for continued excellence in one’s career; the Jade of Chiefs Award for conservation; the Outstanding Board Member Award; and the Jackie Pfeiffer Memorial Award for goodwill, generosity and kindness. (Coat and tie recommended.)

*Please meet before each time at the Visit Fort Wayne table located in the Grand Wayne Convention Center. A Visit Fort Wayne staff member will join you in walking to each planned activity.
