Fishing Holdings LLC, a manufacturer and marketer of fiberglass fishing boats, recently announced the acquisition of a manufacturing facility in Flippin, Ark. The company plans to begin producing an aluminum boat product line by the fourth quarter of 2012.
Fishing Holdings will invest $2.5 million to transition and expand the facility during the next several months, and plans to create more than 50 new jobs.
Fishing Holdings, headquartered in Flippin, Ark., produces a variety of fiberglass fishing boats, including the Ranger, Stratos and Triton brands. The company is owned by an affiliate of Platinum Equity.
