Traveling Photo Exhibit
In 2011, OWAA’s traveling photo exhibits will be viewed by thousands of trade show attendees, students and nature centers visitors nationwide. A few of the trade shows scheduled for this year’s OWAA Photo Exhibit, including Eastern Fishing & Outdoor Expo, NH; Greater Philadelphia Expo; Indian Creek Nature Center, Iowa; and the Springfield Conservation Nature Center (Missouri).

Norm Strung Youth Writing Awards
To encourage students to sharpen their abilities to communicate the outdoor experience, annual cash awards are offered as part of the OWAA Norm Strung Youth Writing Awards. The contest features separate categories for poetry and prose. Cash awards and certificates are granted in both categories and in two different divisions: senior (grades 9-12) and junior (grades 6-8). 100 percent of cash awards are passed on two budding outdoor communicators.
