Application Process

For new Individual Members and Supporting Groups, an email will be sent to confirm receipt of all new applications as soon as they arrive at the office. You may begin to take advantage of your specific benefits as soon as your application is received.

Applications are then processed and entered in our system twice a month (on the 5th and 20th of every month) and welcome packets are mailed immediately after the application has been processed. This can be anywhere between 1 – 2 weeks after the application is received at headquarters depending on the date it was sent and the packet will take approximately 1 additional week to arrive in the mail.

Individual Members

New Individual Members are announced in the Association Updates portion of Outdoors Unlimited® and in the Members-Area of the OWAA website after processing. Due to publication deadlines and our bimonthly printing schedule, print announcements can be up to 2-3 months after joining, but online announcements are updated twice a month. You will also be contacted by OWAA Editor Kelsey Dayton about our New Member feature in each issue of OU if you would like to provide a headshot and additional information.

Supporting Groups
