How do get from Missoula International Airport to the University of Montana?
A variety of rental car companies operate from Missoula International Airport, which is 15 minutes from The University of Montana. Pick-up can also be arranged by contacting the OWAA headquarters staff.
When should I arrive and depart?
Check in is from noon-5 p.m., Sunday, July 22. The facilitators will be on-site to answer questions. Introductions and dinner starts at 6 p.m.
The workshop ends after breakfast Saturday, July 28.
What if I arrive in Missoula before the commencement of Goldenrod?
Early check-in or late check-out may be able to be arranged at the University of Montana for a fee. Please contact Jessica Pollett, jpollett@owaa.org for arrangements. Otherwise, students can make their own arrangements. List of Missoula hotels.
Where is student lodging during the workshop?
Room, board and tuition are included in the $995 registration fee. Participants reside at The University of Montana campus, in dormitory rooms. The registration fee assumes double occupancy; add $100 if requesting a single sleeping room. Alternate arrangements can be made by workshop attendees at their own expense.
What public transportation is available in Missoula?
Mountain Line, the public transit service for Missoula, runs from the University of Montana to almost anywhere in town and can be ridden for free with the UM Griz card you will receive at check-in. Bicycles can be rented at the University of Montana, and Missoula is very pedestrian-friendly. List of Missoula taxis.
Where is Missoula?
Missoula is located in western Montana adjacent to Interstate 90 and serviced by Missoula International Airport. Missoula is a two-hour drive from Glacier National Park and a four-hour drive from Yellowstone National Park.
