The outdoor writers are coming to Grand Rapids, and the public is invited to meet them during Community Night on Saturday, June 13 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. That’s when the Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA) will host its annual “World of Outdoors Benefit Auction and Raffle” at The Amway Grand. Twenty-five year OWAA member Bob Kingsley has graciously agreed to coordinate the 2009 Golf Scramble for members wanting to golf in conjunction with OWAA’s 82nd conference. Tentative plans are to hold Golf Scramble on Friday, June 12. Kingsley says a pro at Stonegate is interested in making its championship course available to OWAA members; Stonegate is approximately 30 minutes from Grand Rapids.
