Lodging
To make your reservations: due to limitations on hotel beds, OWAA will be handling ALL reservations and all attendees will be REQUIRED to share hotel rooms with at least one other guest.
We will be taking roommate requests and we will also have a number of alternative lodging options for adventurous guests that do not require a roommate, including heated wall tents, yurts or RVs. The beds at the Resort will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. OWAA HQ will contact you once your registration is complete to make your lodging arrangements. OWAA’s headquarters hotel is Chena Hot Springs Resort, located outside Fairbanks, Alaska; 907-451-8104.
Room rates are based on the type of room selected and individual costs will be based upon the number of occupants in each room. The prices below reflect the total price of the room, exclusive of an 8% bed tax:
- Signature Room: $99/night
- 2 Double beds
- Includes: hair dryer, coffee maker and television.
- Moose Lodge Room: $105/night
- 2 Queen beds
- Includes: hair dryer, coffee maker and television.
- Family Suite Room: $220/night
- 2 Double beds, 2 Twin beds, in 2 rooms with 1.5 baths
- Includes: hair dryer, coffee maker and television.
- Yurts: $95/night (triple occupancy, price reduced for lower occupancy)
- 3 cot beds
- Includes: cots, firepit and table and chairs. Facilities are available in nearby outhouses and showers are available at the pool house.
- RVs — Lots (self-sustaining): $40/night (Single/Double occupancy) + RV rental costs

- Wall Tents: $125/night (single/double), $165/night (triple), $200/night (quad)
- Includes tent, cot, sleeping bag and stove. If you do not need to rent a sleeping bag, above prices will be adjusted accordingly.
- Facilities are available in nearby outhouses and showers are available at the pool house.
Complimentary swim passes to the natural hot springs indoor pool and outdoor lake are included in all lodging prices.

Travel
Hotel Parking: Car parking at the resort location is free for all guests. Ample parking is available for both cars and RVs. RV parking is $40/day.
Airport Shuttles: Discounted shuttles between Fairbanks and Chena Hot Springs Resort will be arranged Monday, Sept. 3 and Friday, Sept. 7 at a rate of $50 roundtrip. Pick-up and drop-off can be arranged for any business location in Fairbanks, including the airport and train station. Shuttle timing will be arranged as needed, including trips for late-night flights on Sept. 6 and early morning train and airport departures on Sept. 7. Shuttle reservations will be billed with your room reservation 3 weeks prior to arrival. Driving Directions from the Airport and Downtown Fairbanks (to Chena)
Chena Hot Springs Resort is 60 miles (90 minutes) from downtown Fairbanks and the Fairbanks International Airport.
From the Airport and Downtown Fairbanks take Airport Way west to Steese Expressway. Turn left on Steese Expressway, heading north to Chena Hot Srings Rd. Turn right onto Chena Hot Springs Rd. This road will lead you straight up to Chena Hot Springs Resort (56.5 miles)
