Rochester extends a warm welcome

Rochester, Minn., extends a warm invitation to you to join fellow outdoor communicators at OWAA’s 83rd Annual Conference at the Kahler Grand Hotel. The Kahler Grand Hotel is located in the heart of downtown Rochester and opened in 1921 and features 668 comfortable guestrooms, 15 suites, and a one-of-a-kind roof-top domed recreation center and pool area. The Kahler Grand has many dining options within the hotel as well as nearby in the pedestrian subway.

The Kahler Grand Hotel is located directly next to the outdoor Peace Plaza which will serve as the location for Friday evening’s welcome festivities. A traditional Minnesota-style shore lunch will be served featuring fresh walleye while listening to live music from the River Bottom Ramblers. Members who are musically inclined may bring their guitars, banjos, mandolins, fiddles or any other instrument that fits into the country/bluegrass format and play along.

The adjacent Peace Plaza will also host Rochester’s Thursdays on First and Third Festival starting at 11 a.m. on June 10 and the festival features live music and local craftsmen and women as well as food this coming June!
